BREAKTHROUGH PROGRESS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH EXTENSION OF METRO LINE 2

The successful completion of the longest shield section in the single bid section of the 3.366-kilometer-long marks a breakthrough in the construction of the South Extension Line of Metro Line 2.
The shield construction task of the first bid of the south extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 2 is "two sections", namely, the whole-Shen section and Shen-Shen section, which has three characteristics: The total mileage is the longest.The total length of the shield section is 3.366 kilometers, and the total mileage of shield operation in the single bid section is the longest in the south extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 2 and also the longest since the construction of Shenyang Metro started. The number of TBM is the largest. According to the project plan. Four TBMs are required to advance synchronously in the two sections of the project, which puts forward higher standards and greater challenges in personnel, material allocation,safety managmement and quality control. All TBMs used in the project are from NHI. The geology is the most complicated. The section passes through Shenzhong Street, Shenben Street and its dense buildings connecting with International Software Park, and Shenyang-Dandong Expressway.
Up to now, the main structure and "two sections" shield operation of Shenben Street Station of "One Station" of the No.1 bid project of the South Extension Line have been completed, and the construction of the auxiliary structure and connecting passage of the station are being carried out one after another.
It is understood that the south extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 2 is the key line of the third round of planning and construction in Shenyang, starting from the south end of Quanyun Road Station, the terminal of the first phase of Line 2 in the north, and reaching Taoxian Airport Station on the east side of T3 terminal of Taoxian Airport in the south, with a total length of 13.7 kilometers. After the completion of the line, the two first-class transportation hubs of Shenyang North Railway Station and Taoxian International Airport will be closely connected and further play the role of "air-rail combined transport".
