On the second day of the New Year, Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. set a new record
On Jan 2nd,2022, a new record was announced in a place in Xinjiang, more than 3800km away from Shenyang, with the "Endeavour" TBM of NHI breaking through the rock: Over the past three years, NHI’s TBM has driven 17000 meters alone, creating the longest record of single machine hard rock driving mileage in China! At this moment, Zhou Jun, the professional chief engineer, Wang Yue, Zheng Shi, the designers from NHI shed tears of excitement. On the occasion of leaving the old and welcoming the new, the people of NHI presented a generous gift to the motherland with their excellent achievements.
The full name of "Endeavour" TBM is open rock tunnel boring machine, with an excavation diameter of 7.83m, a complete machine weight of about 1500 tons, an installed power of about 4600 kW and a designed continuous driving mileage of 26 km. At present, the 17 km excavation task has been completed. After all the projects are completed, "Endeavour" will set the world record for the longest distance of TBM single machine excavation. In order to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment in the low-temperature complex environment of - 22 ℃, the engineers and technicians of NHI have been working on the project site for a long time, shuttling between the main control room and the hydraulic and electric control systems in the tunnel to provide technical support for the products. On the evening of December 31, 2021, professional chief engineer Zhou Jun, design institute Wang Yue and Zheng Shi stuck to their posts with all members of the project team in the tunnel to welcome the New Year.
On the three days of New Year's day, like Zhou Jun and others who set a record in Xinjiang, hundreds of people are busy working in NHI every day. They ushered in the new year with their selfless dedication.
In the major parts processing branch of NHI, Wu Wenyuan's team spent three days on New Year's day in the products produced of Anhui Conch Group; In the assembly workshop, the crown block is moving overhead, and semi-finished products are assembled on the ground; In the processing workshop, all kinds of machine tools such as turning, milling, boring and drilling operate at high speed; Welding flowers flying and hammer rumbling in the structural parts workshop.
According to a statistical table on overtime work of each branch during the New Year's day from NHI, employees of more than a dozen units such as structural branch, major parts branch, mining building materials and equipment branch and metallurgical power station equipment branch are working overtime. They are serving dozens of customers such as Jinan Iron and Steel, Jiulong Paper, Conch Project, Xinyang sintering machine and Xuzhou China coal. During the New Year's day, 2358 people (person-time) attended the NHI factory area; Another 105 people are on construction sites at home and abroad to welcome the new year by providing technical services, installation and commissioning.
"The New Year is our new starting point. We welcome the new year through laboring and show the new style of NHI!" When it comes to why the NHI workers are still working overtime on New Year's day, Mr.Zhang Bin, President of NHI, said so.
