NHI: Digging the potential of maintenance to create benefits for enterprise
8X20M Moveable-7-axis (5 interlockable) NC Heavy-duty Two-column Mill, commonly known as "seven axis five linkage", is a high-precision machining equipment of Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NHI"). In April this year, the equipment failed - the universal milling head could not be used, which seriously affected the processing nodes of relevant key products.
Universal milling head is a high-precision accessory of the equipment. NHI has no experience in repairing the same type of precision equipment before. Through external consultation, only one enterprise in Shenyang can provide maintenance services, but the maintenance cost may reach 500,000.00 yuan, which cannot guarantee the maintenance effect.
In order to save maintenance costs, reduce maintenance risks, and at the same time train the maintenance team and improve skills, NHI organized and coordinated the Large Component Manufacturing Branch, Design and Research Institute, Production Command Center, and Automation Branch to jointly establish a milling head maintenance working group and carry out self repair work.
In the face of sophisticated and complex imported equipment, NHI dispatched professional backbones from all aspects to fully cooperate in the emergency repair work, overcome the difficulties such as the lack of equipment drawings and incomplete data, and members of the emergency repair team searched for information on the site, checked the lines, found faults item by item, accurately located the fault points, and jointly studied the replacement of damaged parts. Through joint efforts, they completed the milling head disassembly, seal replacement, pin and other electrical components maintenance, reinstallation, electrical debugging and other related work, and successfully passed the test run, saving the maintenance cost of 202,300.00 yuan for the enterprise.
In addition, with the joint efforts of Production Command Center, Structural Parts Branch and Design and Research Institute, the self repair work of the pretreatment line equipment in Structural Parts Branch of NHI was successfully completed, which not only revitalized important equipment, but also saved more than 360,000.00 yuan in maintenance costs for the enterprise. At present, the equipment runs smoothly and achieves the expected goal.
The relevant person in charge of NHI said that the enterprise had found a "new way" in self-reliance, cost reduction and efficiency increase by digging deep into maintenance potential and cultivating maintenance teams.
